The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) Shotgun Coaches at The British Shooting Show

Choose a shotgun coaching lesson with a BASC coach and you’ll be given much more than just a wonderful experience.

With BASC you will be given a ‘lesson’ which will give you knowledge and a sound set of principles to go away and work with.

All of the BASC Shotgun Coaches are taught and assessed to the same high standard throughout the country and they are required to be re-assessed every three years to remain accredited.

Operating around the country the BASC Shotgun Coaches join together at game fair’s such as this on a volunteer basis, they not only help regular shots to improve their shooting but play a vital role in welcoming newcomers and providing the kind of positive experience that may lead to a lifetime of shooting.

SHOW OFFER FOR YOUNG SHOTS - Young Shots (Under 18’s) joining BASC (cost £20) at the show will receive a free coaching lesson worth £8 (some conditions apply e.g. size).

COSTS FOR TUITION ON THE DAY - Adult lesson £15.00 & under 18's only £8.00.

Marksman Simulator - Diagnose & Improve you performance.

Image

Two Marksman Simulator systems will be situated in Gunmakers hall 2. These will be run by the BASC and Marksman UK Ltd. These Hi-Tec Marksman Simulators can provide you with really detailed information to help you improve your shooting performance. The following disciplines can be simulated;

  • TRAP
  • DOUBLES
  • SKEET
  • SPORTING

The instant replay and hit position image allows instant feedback on your gun mount, swing speed, lead and time of firing to perfect your technique.

Your own gun can be used with these simulators.

The system is suitable for use with all shotgun types and the camera sensor can be attached to all types of barrels. When you use the simulator you will be accompanied by a qualified coach who will help you interprate your shooting performance. The system will show you the following;

  • How you have missed
  • Why you have missed
  • Gun fit (with your own gun)
  • The effect of different shot weights and loads
  • The affect of different chokes

For game shooters; Duck, Pheasant, Grouse and Rabbit can be simulated.

Just turn up on the day and register with the simulator staff.

CPSA Meet them at the show.

Win a Browning B525 Sporter worth £1400.00.
